Tutorials and Manuals
A doctors' surgery north of Wellington has produced a very useful online MedTech manual, available at www.gp.org.nz (note this link opens in a new window).
Updating MedTech
We recommend that MedTech updates are applied either within three months of being released or are no more than one version behind the current release.
If you update MedTech yourself, we strongly recommend that you follow MedTech's detailed update procedure, step by step. If you are at all unsure of the correct procedure for updating MedTech we recommend that you ask your IT support company to update MedTech for you.

To view the updates available for MedTech version 17.x, visit the MedTech downloads page (note this link opens in a new window).

Windows patches and critical updates

Workstations and Server

We recommend Windows patches and critical updates are applied at least every three months (either by the practice’s IT support company or in-house).

As Windows patches and critical updates may cause conflicts with existing software on your workstations/server we recommend that you discuss your Windows update strategy with your IT support company.

To check what updates are available for a particular workstation or server go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ (link opens in new window).
